Comparison Between Autoclave and Compression Molding

info-900-350

The maximum integrated structural design of composite material products can be achieved by using autoclave production method, which is beneficial for achieving product strength and other mechanical properties. The product has stable performance, high qualification rate, and low operational requirements.

The limitations of the compression molding process are significant that parts with complex shapes need to be formed in blocks before assembly. Composite materials have high difficulty in assembly and hence there is significant performance loss and low efficiency, resulting in high costs. The prepreg laying process of the closed mold cavity is difficult and requires high operational requirements. If there is a slight mistake, defects such as rich glue, poor glue, and inability to press the surface will appear. Slight carelessness in material placement can also damage the mold.
