This is the first application of carbon fiber in Shanghai Petrochemical seawall project, the cumulative use of composite tendons 1250 meters, to further expand the popularization and application of carbon fiber in the field of civil engineering is of great significance.
It is understood that the carbon fiber composite tendon as a raw material for building construction, lightweight, high strength, corrosion resistance and other properties, its strength is 8 to 15 times the ordinary steel, specific gravity is only one-fifth of steel, with ultra-high specific strength and modulus. In the process of practical application, carbon fiber composite tendon can effectively solve the problem of corrosion and aging caused by seawater infiltration and harsh climate. In addition, from the dimension of the whole life cycle, it is estimated that the use of carbon fiber composite reinforcing profiles not only saves energy consumption and reduces carbon emissions, but also saves more than 20% of the construction cost, which is a significant environmental benefit and economic benefit.
