Beijing University of Chemical Technology Unveils Ultra-Thin Carbon Fiber Admission Notices
In 2024, Beijing University of Chemical Technology has once again pushed the boundaries of innovation by introducing university entrance examination admission letters crafted from carbon fiber composite materials. These letters are a testament to the material's reputation as the "black gold" of the industrial sector, known for its lightweight nature, high specific strength, superior stiffness, thermal resistance, and corrosion resistance. Carbon fiber's exceptional properties have earned it a place in a variety of critical applications, including launch vehicles, satellite space stations, large aircraft, and major naval vessels.
The admission letters, meticulously "woven" from carbon fiber, showcase a novel carbon fiber composite material developed by the Advanced Composites Center (ACC team) within the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. With a remarkable thickness of just 0.2mm, these letters display a chameleonic quality, reflecting a spectrum of colors as the angle of sunlight shifts across their surface, marrying artistic aesthetics with scientific ingenuity.
