Zhejiang Dehong Patents Breakthrough in Carbon/Silicon Carbide Composite Design

Zhejiang Dehong Carbon Fiber Composites has pioneered a novel layered material structure to overcome long-standing weaknesses in carbon/silicon carbide (C/C-SiC) composites. Patented on June 25, 2025 (CN120191088A), the design vertically interlocks stacked fiber layers with carbon fiber rods, creating a reinforced matrix that significantly enhances interlayer bonding and mechanical stability. The fiber layers-composed of short carbon filaments, silicon carbide, and carbon matrices-form interlocking micro-nets that optimize stress distribution and resist delamination. This innovation addresses critical failure risks in aerospace components exposed to extreme heat and pressure, such as rocket nozzles and brake systems. Established in 2021, Dehong has rapidly expanded its IP portfolio to 41 patents and actively participates in China's composite supply chain through 15 bidding projects. The patent underscores China's accelerating progress in overcoming core material bottlenecks for next-generation industrial applications 7.
