Basic Requirements For The Internal Antioxidant Coating Of Carbon Fiber Prosthetics

1. The coefficient of thermal expansion between the coating and the substrate and each layer of the coating should be as close as possible to avoid cracks or peeling of the coating under the action of large thermal stress.
2, the coating should be able to withstand a certain pressure and impact force, and corrosion resistance, in order to ensure the use of C/C composite material performance.
3, coating and substrate and coating can not react with each other at high temperature, can occur high temperature decomposition.
4. The steam pressure of the coating material should be low to prevent the volatilization of the coating.
5, the oxygen permeability of antioxidant coating should be low, which can effectively prevent the invasion of oxygen.
6. Antioxidant coatings should reduce the outward diffusion of carbon, which is particularly important for coatings containing oxides, because oxides are easy to be reduced by C.
7, coating and matrix carbon should be able to combine well, forming a high bonding strength. For multilayer coatings, there should also be good bonding strength between layers to avoid delamination or shedding.
