At the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the British company MARSS unveiled a new vertically-launched counter-drone system. With a wingspan of about 90 cm, it flies over 80 meters per second and can travel at least 5 kilometers. Made of carbon fiber, titanium and polymer composites, the interceptor weighs about 10 kg.
MARSS notes that this AI-powered autonomous interceptor is reusable. It's a low-cost, low-casualty solution that can destroy Group 1 and 2 drones within 5 kilometers.
