Hexion announces force majeure shutdown of epoxy resin, resulting in 2-4 weeks of delivery delays

DuPont: Out-of-stock will be delayed until July

Kuraray: Second price increase! PVA resin increased by 3,200 yuan/ton!

On May 14, the official website of Kuraray, a well-known Japanese manufacturer, announced that starting from May 17, the company's polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin and its series of resins will increase prices worldwide, with an increase of more than US$0.50/kg (about RMB 3,215/ton) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Trinseo: Increase North American styrene prices in June

Trinseo, a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex, and rubber, announced that it will increase the price of all styrene-acrylic and acrylic latex products sold to the North American carpet market from June 1, 2021. The price increase will be US$222/ton (RMB 1,429/ton) under contractual conditions.

To offset the rising costs of raw materials and transportation, Trinseo believes that this price increase is necessary.
