131 meters, the world's longest land-based carbon fiber wind turbine blade has successfully come off the production line.
On January 21, SANY Renewable Energy's 131-meter land-based wind turbine blade successfully came off the production line at the Bayannur Zero Carbon Digital Industry Park. The core material used is high-performance carbon fiber with 48K bundle supplied by Zhongfu Shenying. This blade not only set a new record for the world's longest land-based wind turbine blade but also marks a significant breakthrough in the supply of domestically produced dry-jet wet-spun 48K carbon fiber for blades exceeding 100 meters in length.

The dry-jet wet-spun 48K high-performance carbon fiber used by Zhongfu Shenying was officially launched in 2023, making it the world's first large-bundle product produced using dry-jet wet-spinning technology. It features low fuzziness during the pultrusion process, good processability, and easy maintenance. Combined with Zhongfu's specially designed resin impregnation system and preforming system, it imparts exceptional mechanical properties to the carbon fiber pultruded plates, including higher modulus, strength, strain, and improved fatigue performance. This ensures the long-term stable operation of wind turbine blades and provides solid support for the world's longest land-based wind turbine blade.

Currently, the wind power industry is entering a "high-speed era" characterized by the iteration of larger-scale models as a major trend. The industry is also showing structural high growth amidst ongoing recovery, and the support for longer blades will inevitably require the incorporation of carbon fiber materials. Therefore, the application prospects of carbon fiber in the wind power sector will become increasingly broad.
At present, domestic carbon fiber production capacity is rapidly increasing, and situations like the wind power industry launching multiple large-scale projects can effectively consume this capacity, driving the economic development of the carbon fiber industry and providing stable support for the domestic carbon fiber sector.
