Stamford, Connecticut - Hexcel Corporation announced today its collaboration with METYX (Istanbul, Turkey) to manufacture high-performance carbon fiber pultruded profiles using polyurethane (PU) resin and unidirectional carbon fiber for the wind energy market.

The companies will jointly develop innovative technologies that build on Hexcel's expertise in polyurethane systems for the skiing industry and its strengths in delivering high-performance composites for wind energy customers. This partnership aims to extend their combined capabilities into other composite applications. METYX is a leading manufacturer of non-crimp fabrics (NCF), glass and carbon textiles, consumables, core materials, fabric kits, molds, prototypes, and components for industries including wind energy, marine, automotive, rail, and construction.
