Hexcel, a global leader in carbon fiber composites, will present its latest technological breakthroughs at the 55th Paris Air Show, taking place from June 16 to 22, 2025, at Le Bourget, Paris, France. The company will showcase a range of innovative products and technologies for the aerospace market, aimed at advancing sustainable development in the composites industry.
To meet the aviation sector's demand for enhanced production efficiency and capacity, Hexcel is introducing new technologies including HexPly® M51 fast-curing prepreg. Designed for automated processes, it significantly shortens cure cycles while reducing reliance on tooling and manual labor. Hexcel will also display its Liquid Composite Molding (LCM) portfolio, such as toughened epoxy resins HF610F-2 and HF640F-2. Combined with high-performance carbon fiber, these offer cost-effective out-of-autoclave solutions. The TowPly™ spread tow prepreg series is suited for demanding filament winding applications, featuring fast cure times and high-temperature resistance.
Beyond technical performance, Hexcel is committed to developing greener solutions. This includes using lightweight composites to reduce aircraft weight, thereby lowering fuel consumption and emissions. The company actively applies circular economy principles by recycling surplus production materials. A successful example is its collaboration with Fairmat, which used Hexcel prepreg to produce fully recyclable, custom CFRP panels.
At the show, visitors will see exhibits made with these advanced technologies, including lightweight door components in PEKK/carbon fiber, HexPly M51 parts, eVTOL aircraft wing sections, and guide vanes manufactured via RTM. Hexcel will also feature its Flex-Core® HRH-302 non-metallic honeycomb core, particularly suited for next-generation aircraft engine nacelles. This exhibition underscores Hexcel's leadership in delivering high-quality, high-performance, and sustainable solutions.
