Recently, Shanghai Petrochemical's 24K carbon fibre products have been successfully mass-produced in the company's 1,500 tons/year carbon fibre production unit, meeting both output and quality standards.
The mass production of 24K carbon fibre products, an important part of the company's annual cost reduction and efficiency improvement plan for its 1,500 tons/year carbon fibre production unit, has enabled a significant increase in the monthly output of the unit while reducing its overall energy consumption. It also continues to meet market demand for carbon fibre products that do not use specifications.
Based on early research and optimisation of the production process, the company innovatively applied new technologies, new processes and new control methods. As a result, it has expanded the capacity of the original 12K carbon fibre production line, achieved continuous mass production, and succeeded in producing high-quality 24K carbon fibre products. Under the same production conditions, the production of 24K carbon fibre products can greatly increase the single-line capacity of the carbon fibre production line. With the effective expansion of production capacity, the overall energy consumption of the plant can also be further reduced.
