The Yangtze River Delta Carbon Fiber and Composite Materials Technology Innovation Center has inaugurated its new headquarters, marking an important milestone in the development of the industry. The ceremony on June 5, 2023 was attended by distinguished guests, including members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Du Shanyi, Yue Qingrui and Liu Jiaping, member of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering Ye Lin, and municipal Party Secretary Chen Jinhu. They witnessed the signing of the project and the opening of the building.
Background of the Innovation Center
Established in March 2022, the center is a joint effort by the Jiangsu Institute of Industrial Technology, the Changzhou government, and the national high-tech zone. It focuses on carbon fiber composite materials in aerospace, clean energy and sustainable development. The center aims to make breakthroughs in advanced carbon fiber, high-performance materials, and life cycle assessment, addressing key challenges in China's carbon fiber sector.
Headquarters Building Details
The new headquarters is located in the Phase II Park of the Yangtze River Delta Carbon Fiber and Composite Materials Science and Technology Innovation Port. This is an important step in the center's integration with Changzhou. Future plans include building a public service platform, undertaking major technology projects and nurturing innovative enterprises. The goal is to become a leading hub for carbon fiber technology and industry.
